Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices American cheese
- 4 sub rolls
- Mayonnaise
- Ketchup
- Mustard
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
Instructions:
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat
Add chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic
Saut until softened
Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned
Season with salt and pepper
While the beef is cooking, split the sub rolls and toast them lightly
Once the beef is cooked, divide it into 4 portions in the skillet
Place a slice of American cheese on each portion of beef and let it melt
Spread mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard on the toasted sub rolls
Place lettuce leaves and tomato slices on the bottom half of the rolls
Using a spatula, scoop each portion of beef with melted cheese onto the rolls
Top with the other half of the sub rolls
Serve the Chopped Cheese Sandwiches hot and enjoy!
