Ingredients:
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts optional
- 1/2 cup coconut cream
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F 175C
Grease a baking dish with coconut oil
In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, cocoa powder, coconut sugar, baking soda, and salt
Add melted coconut oil, maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients
Mix until well combined
Fold in dairy-free chocolate chips and chopped nuts, if using
Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
Allow to cool before slicing
In a small saucepan, combine coconut cream, coconut sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and becomes caramel-like in consistency, about 5-7 minutes
Remove from heat and let it cool slightly
Drizzle the caramel sauce over the cooled brownies before serving
